16th Annual Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Spring Hat Luncheon May 3, 2014

The sun peaked through the clouds just in time to welcome 600 beautifully dressed guests to the 16th Annual PNC Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Spring Hat Luncheon, which raised nearly $600,000 toward park improvements.





In preparation for the event, horticulturist Angela Yuele and gardener Jaci Bruschi created many gorgeous floral beds in the Highland Park Entry Garden, admired by all of the guests.
Mimosas and champagne were served as patrons mutually admired exquisite hats, from a true “birdcage” hat completing Joe King's ensemble to a fabulous taupe organza sported by Peggy Harris.
Meg Cheevers, President and CEO Of Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, graciously greeted guests as they arrived along with Scott Roller, Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications.


Pittsburgh designer and philanthropist Lana Neumeyer, recently named as an inductee to the Pittsburgh Fashion Hall of Fame, dazzled , dressed in one of her designs of Royal blue silk with a plumed hat.

Centerpieces of hyacinth, orchids, and gardenia, by Allison McGeary Florist, gave a true garden feeling to the event
The luncheon, catered by the Duquesne Club, finished with dessert topped off with a hat.

The Park Conservancy was founded in 1996 by a concerned group of citizens, who set out to counteract the deteriorating condition of Pittsburgh’s city parks. To date the Parks Conservancy has raised nearly $70 million.
