Highmark Presents 2018 "Lights! Glamour! Action!

Nearly 700 guests walked the red carpet for the 18th Annual  "Lights! Glamour! Action!" Lining the runway, a new concept for the event, an evening gown design competition.   Each designer displayed their creation and described their inspiration, use of materials, and use of the RATED PGH logo.  Designer included Lisa Marie Bruno, Eva Dixon, Gabriela Droz, Joshua Hodgson, Leesa Kassler, Kelly Long, Gerald Love, Brooke Mordaunt, Stephanie Moye, Bradford Mumpower, Christianna Murray, and Johnathon Robinson.  When the votes were tallied, Brooke Mordaunts gown, modeled by Heather Hubara won the vote.

The evening gown competition was just a small part of this amazing event.  Private tents housed the VIP and sponsors in comfort as they watch the 90th Annual Academy Awards.  Food stations throughout the venue featured short rib sliders, stuffed chicken, and spinach artichoke arancini. For the sweet tooth, models walked the room with clear umbrellas full of cotton candy.

Event planners Shari Zatman and Theresa Kaufman have been executing this event for the past three years and have turned it into the highlight of the Pittsburgh social scene, where everyone has fun.

This event is the major fundraiser for the Pittsburgh Film Office, created in 1990 to respond to the increase in film production in southwestern Pennsylvania. Hundred of millions of dollars and thousands of jobs in the film industry have been promoted by the Pittsburgh Film Office, adding to our local economy.

  1. It was an extraordinary day and the opportunity to create an amazing gown for this event. RATED PGH CHALLENGE.... making a gown using a TSHIRT was the the goal. I believed that is what I accomplished and love doing this gown and dresses a very talented model Lani Dee
